Hello, I'm Gemma
I’m an artist, workshop host and lover of island life.

More than a decade ago I moved to the Isles of Scilly and instantly fell in love with the extraordinary light, colour and peaceful rhythm of these beautiful islands.
​
My artwork celebrates the colours, textures and atmosphere of the coast, while my workshops invite others to slow down, explore their creativity and enjoy the simple joy of making something with their own hands.

I thoroughly enjoyed Gemma’s watercolour landscapes workshop. The simple structure and techniques seemed to get the best out of us. Gemma created a lovely, relaxed environment and the shop/studio is beautiful. I am hoping to join the collage workshop next week…
We had a wonderful half day workshop with Gemma. She was so informative, providing some wonderful hints and tips, which make your first dip into sketching and watercolour painting relaxed and fun. We all came away feeling inspired to continue our art journey back home.
I would definitely recommend for any beginner to sketching and painting.. it was so much fun. Thank you for awaking us all to our (somewhat limited) artistic skills.
